Julia Ionova Logua was born in Moscow in 1983.
After earning an MA in Interior and Spatial design used to work on private interior projects and participate in different international competitions of furniture design. As a result, some of the projects took part in exhibitions like Salone Satellite Moscow, Moscow Design Week, ISaloni Milan. The office furniture collection won a first prize in Dauphin Design Competition and was represented at Orgatec Cologne.
From 2007 to 2010 worked as an interior designer in the architectural department of Solo Office interiors. Then, she joined FrontArchitecture design studio as Design Director. During the next ten years, the studio worked on hospitality projects for Hilton Hotels&Resorts, The Rezidor Hotel Group, Intercontinental Hotels Group.
In 2016 invented her own architectural practice under the name Julia Ionova. Since then the studio has completed several projects of restaurants in Moscow and Yekaterinburg. About a year ago Julia started a new small furniture brand under her mother’s family name Logua. This brand is dedicated to her mother Nina Logua. A piece from the collection, the Teddy Chair, was shown at Moscow Museum of Modern Art during the "Environment" exhibition and also took a part in group exhibition “Auto-Exotic” at The Venice Design Biennial 2023.
